YOUNG DEVOTEES TEAM
About us
Formed in 2024, the Young Devotees Team is a vibrant and growing wing of our temple, created to involve and inspire the next generation of Shaivites. Open to youth aged 10 to 25, this dynamic group plays an active role in temple service and cultural preservation. From carrying the sacred idols during processions to assisting priests in puja preparations, cleaning, and temple upkeep, these young volunteers embody true bhakti through action. The girls help with ritual arrangements, while the boys take part in traditional responsibilities like idol bearing and organizing temple logistics. They also contribute a lot with music, singing Thevaram (anicient Tamil hymns) and devotional Songs. Beyond physical service, the team also manages the temple’s social media platforms, bringing the divine message of Goddess Vishnu Thurkkai to a global audience. With six dedicated admins guiding the team, we are proud to have nearly 40 enthusiastic youngsters serving with devotion, discipline, and joy.
